Join OACPP and IAC for a special Town Hall on Insurance Advocacy where we’ll explore how mental health professionals can unite to strengthen our collective voice and impact in Ohio’s evolving insurance landscape.
This session will feature a presentation from an attorney who will guide us through the legal and strategic aspects of forming trade associations and clinically integrated networks (CINs) — two collaborative models that can help providers advocate more effectively, negotiate with insurers, and protect professional autonomy while staying compliant with legal and antitrust regulations.
We’ll discuss:
The current challenges in provider–insurance relationships
How trade associations and CINs function
Opportunities for collaboration and collective negotiation
Next steps for building sustainable advocacy efforts in Ohio
